Day 1 22nd July 2017
Today is a good day, it’s Saturday and i’m not working. i’m lying in bed looking out into my petit garden that i love so much. It is a small garden because half of it is a swimming pool, (not that i’m complaining about having a pool ), and at the far end there is a big blue house which houses tools and pool equipment. There is also a little blue house on stilts that we built for our children to play in. There is an simple outside kitchen which is supposed to be a beer making station (There is never time to make beer in it unfortunately, house renovations, full time jobs and 2 children = no time). And i must not forget the tiny house that Lola the dog sleeps in. So many houses on 200m2 !!!
We live just outside of Bordeaux in France. We are surrounded by vineyards and forests, it is truly a beautiful place to live.
We have birds visiting us all the time, mainly small black ones, we have a book that we leave outside to look up all the names of the birds, as i’m no good at remembering any of them. I have spent many hours reading books to my children lying in a large family hammock which we brought back from Nicaragua and watching the birds of course.
Today i decided to start a blog, mainly because we have decided that we want to move to India and hopefully Bali for at least 6-8 months. When i say we, i’m talking about my husband, my 2 young daughters and myself. We planning to do this from January 2019 to about the end of June 2019. I’d also like to share my experiences and obervations on my journey into the great big world of yoga.
We know we want to travel more, and we will find a way. Travelling to far off lands is not a new thing for us, in 2008 and 2009 we my husband and i went on a world trip. You can check out our blog from that amazing journey. (https://aroundzeworld365.wordpress.com). We love to travel, and now we want our girls to experience life in a new way with us.
I try very hard to lead a balanced life, my personal motos are you can have anything and do anything you want as long as it doesn’t hurt yourself or hurt and bother anyone else. And you can eat and drink what your like as long as it’s in moderation and with respect. I am not vegan or vegetarian and i eat gluten. I am not religious or very serious about anything really. I have vacinated my children, but don’t think western medicine is always the answer. But i am pasionate about lots of things and will fight for the people i love. Like i said i am not an extreme person, i strive for balance and i always do the best i can in everything i do. Sometimes that may not be enough or up to others expectations or my own, but i am not perfect.
